Erratum: Amendment to documents and extension of closing date: Quotations are hereby invited for the appointment of an infrastructure project management service provider for a period of twelve months. The National Library of South Africa has appointed a Facilities Management (FM) company who implements all facilities related projects - planned and unplanned maintenance and CapEx - across the NLSA’s three sites. The facilities project management service provider will work alongside the FM company to monitor, quality control and sign off all facilities related work. Scope of work: - The facilities project manager service provider shall provide technical expertise in various built engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, structural and quantity survey etc, - The facilities project management service provider shall provide project management expertise over all infrastructure projects, both OpEx and CapEx, - The service provider shall be responsible for conducting quality assurance and signing off all work completed by, or through, the facilities management service provider, - The service provider shall be responsible for recommending for payment all invoices submitted by the facilities management company, - The service provider will be responsible for overseeing all work conducted by the facilities management company across the NLSA’s three sites in Pretoria and Cape Town, - The service provider will provide status reports to management on a regular basis, - The service provider shall ensure full implementation and compliance with built regulations and contractual obligations between the NLSA and the facilities management service provider, - Collaborate effectively with infrastructure associates across entire business units along with management levels, - Collaborate with the facilities management company and management to identify and establish project goals, objectives, and timelines, - Monitor project progress, identify deviations from plans, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track, - Manage project risks and issues and take appropriate actions to mitigate them, - Track and manage project expenditures to ensure projects are within budget and financial goals are met, - Provide leadership and direction to project team members and stakeholders to ensure infrastructure project success, - Ensure all projects follow standard operating procedures, policies, and guidelines. Duration of the contract: - The infrastructure project management service provider will be appointed for a period of twelve months, - Professional infrastructure project management services will be rendered for a maximum of forty hours per week, - The workplan will be developed with the service provider based on the planned maintenance and CapEx project.
