Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Appointment of a service provider to provide training for three accredited unit standards namely: (A) Describe and apply the management functions of an organization SAQA ID (14667); (B) Demonstrate an understanding of and provide assistance for risk analysis functions SAQA ID (123461); (C) Conduct basic forestry map reading SAQA ID (117085). Scope: a) Describe and apply the management functions of an organization SAQA ID (14667): People credited with this unit standard are able to: - Describing the management activities involved in running a successful business; - Explaining the basic activities involved in the management process; - Identifying and explaining the main tasks required of managers; - Applying the decision-making process to make a management decision; - Analysing the application of the general management functions in a selected organisation. b) Demonstrate an understanding of and provide assistance for risk analysis functions SAQA ID (123461): People credited with this unit standard are able to: - Explaining the types of risk that may occur within the project environment; - Gathering and collating the data required for performing risk analysis on a project; - Contributing to the risk analysis process for a project; - Contributing to the maintenance of a historical risk databank. c) Conduct basic forestry map reading SAQA ID (117085): People credited with this unit standard are able to: - Read and interpret different maps; - Apply map-reading skills.
