Specifications: The Council for Geoscience is currently undertaking a geotechnical mapping programme in the Port St Johns Local Municipality, Eastern Cape Province in support of the Municipality Future Development Plan. Infrastructure & Land use unit has now concluded the desktop study phase and planning to undertake filed work of the project in the coming weeks. The field work phase will require the procurement of a service provider to supply Tractor-Loader Backhoe (TLB) for digging of test pits. Potential mapping areas have been identified in and around Port St Johns Local Municipality and surrounding areas (Sheet 3129CB) Easter Cape Province as a priority sites for this financial year, requiring immediate mobilisation for geotechnical mapping.
