Information is hereby requested for an Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) Distribution System. Objective: This RFI is for an IPTV distribution system. The SABC is looking for a system that will replace the old Radio Frequency distribution system to enable distribution of audio and video feeds from DSTV, VIVID, internal streaming channels (SABC IPTV) and MCR feeds over IP. An ideal solution that will not require additional cabling and Television set replacement but make use of existing infrastructure (Local Area Network). It should also allow flexibility by not limiting access to TV sets but enable access through computers and mobile devices. SABC would like to see what is available on the market in order to fulfil the mentioned requirement as well as cost associated with both the hardware and software. (Ausschreibung №90048796de)
