Proposals are hereby invited for the appointment of a service provider for the repair, service, and maintenance of diesel generators for a period of three years, as well as supply and installation of generator and UPS batteries on an adhoc basis for Groenkloof, Secunda and Netfa. Scope of works: Preventative Maintenance - 250 hours or 6 Months: The supplier will be required to perform the following preventative maintenance activities include but not limited to: • Alternator and Fan Belts - Inspect/Adjust, • Battery Electrolyte Level - Check/Add, • Cooling System Supplemental Coolant Additive (SCA) - Test/Add, • Engine Air Cleaner Element (Dual Element) - Clean/Replace, • Engine Air Cleaner Element (Single Element) - Inspect/Replace, • Engine Oil and Filter - Change, • Hoses and Clamps - Inspect/Replace, • Radiator - Clean/Flush. Breakdown Maintenance - As and when required: The supplier will be required to perform the following general maintenance activities including but not limited to: • Conduct general maintenance and breakdown as and when required, • Call-out on as and when required during power failures and downtimes but not limited to it, • Service level Agreement with a response time of an hour long to attend the breakdown maintenance, • Be on a 24/7 emergency breakdown service plan, • Responding time(s) of breakdowns when reported must be one hour to attend, • Provide service report of all Generators and data book, advise on all major troubleshooting matters, • General Maintenance and/or repairs of Generators.
